Bright and dark

Antonyms though

I willingly embrace both

Friend, philosopher, guide

They advise me every stride

Oh no another task

I groan and roll over my bed

Dark hands me a glass

Drink to your heart’s content

Drives away bright

Draws the curtain

To intercept light

Bright knocks at the door

But I snooze

Lay dormant and heedless

Oblivious to duty

Waiving it as needless

Enraged at my lethargy

Bright flares to arouse energy

Dark brushed away

For I must not stray

Ray of hopeLights up my path

Bright conquered dark

Reminded me of covenant

Like the rainbow on Noah’s ark
