One hot April in 1979,

A cute couple married,

Soon they were expecting a child.

.

The young lady, she wished for a baby girl

To be born on Christmas day,

More than anything in the world.

.

The imp missed Christmas day by a mile,

She was born 28 days after Christmas,

To be precise.

.

Baby’s Grandma said, ‘Hush don’t be silly’.

‘If you marry end April, the baby arrives

End January, you ninny’.

.

‘A baby on Christmas day!

Good god! The neighbourhood busy bodies

Would have their tongues wagging away.’

.

And yet, Natasha, meaning ‘born on Christmas Day’,

The tot was named! The couples’ next baby too

Missed Christmas but… nailed Valentine’s Day.😊

.
