Liberated

A life that she lived,

For almost three decades,

Fuming within

And smiling outside.

The venomous words

And glances from onlookers

Pierced deep into her soul

Engulfing her self esteem.

For once, in all these years,

She decided to uncover

And face the world

In her true self.

She stepped into the hospital,

With a ray of hope.

A hope, of a bright future,

That, probably, awaits her.

Hours later, she walked,

From a life that was,

A big, fat lie

When SHE became HE.
