Lone within the four walls,
Slumped against the door
Heavy breaths and tiredness,
No hope for my weak soul
I crawl to caress the hand,
That waves me a ‘hello’
Her innocent eyes lit up when,
I blow kiss through the window.
She doesn’t know well,
What separates me and her,
With guards, gloves and scrubs on,
Thinks her dad is the life ‘saviour’ !
Only if I could I would,
Tell her about the scared heart,
That it won’t beat to tell a tale tomorrow,
Saying ‘our end is too far..’
