‘Shh! my angel
Go to sleep.
Rest your eyes before the sun peeps.
But say some prayers
Especially for those infected
With the deadly virus.
This world it has afflicted.’
‘Shh! My mumma
I shall indeed sleep.
And pray to angels
Over the sick, their watch they will keep.
But momma, the ones who already perished..
Did they not pray?
Did their loved ones not pray?
Why then, do they, not see the light of day?’
