Vanity

At zenith, the bright sun shines,

Heavenly orbs spinning around the glory

Of the sun; day’s glinting hues a mere reflection.

.

In the water, espying its reflection

The radiant moon shines,

Billowing tides hail its glory.

.

Reign fugacious of the glory

Surreal illusory reflection,

Sun and moon eclipse; overcast shrouding shines.

.

Shines glory forever a mirage of vain reflection.

Tritina form

It is a ten-line poem composed of three tercets and a final line. The technique used is lexical repetition rather than riming. The end words of the first tercet are repeated in a specific order for the next two tercets and all three words appear in the last line.
