Uprising

Sunrise tinted the sky red

Dawning new day

Vociferous violet starlings

Echoed war cry;

Free rein

The dream

once tethered and slaved,

Liberated and soared high.

Aeons of tyranny ended,

Broke open all fetters.

Battered Bodies Blue

but spirit unbowed gallant,

Oozing sanguine

An orange magma

annihilated prejudices of the oppressors.

Unsung heroes, peasants lowly

Uprising ignited the flame

Indigo upheaval

uprooted despotic dominion,

And sowed seeds of freedom

forthcoming spring green.

Yellow awakening

illuminated centuries-old gloom.
