The Long Winding Road

Have I been here before

Why it looks familiar and more

Have I seen it in dreams

Or is it in tears downstream

This long and winding road

That leads to your door

This wild and windy night

When the rain washes all the plight

But the memories still remain

When I travel this road again

This long and winding road

That leads to you door

This road and its trees

And the slow and sad breeze

Every step is a torture without you

My eyes look around for thou

This long and winding road

That leads to your door

You left me standing on this turn

Leaving my soul on a slow burn

This feeling of being alone

And then my heart turns to stone

This long and winding road

That leads to your door

I become miserable every time

Whenever I’m here I miss our chime

I keep coming here don’t know why

When I can do nothing except cry

This long and winding road

That leads to your door
