Radha’s Plea to Krishna

O Krishna! Quit playing incessant games with my heart,

Making me desperate is your skillful art.

I get carried away as you play your enchanting flute,

Being mesmerized by the mellifluous music, I turn completely mute.

You stealthily let my eyes espy a fantasy land,

I willingly submit myself to your command.

In one moment my heart goes through an exhilarating crest,

But again, when you vanish, it’s hurled playfully down instead.

I pine for your presence throughout my life,

Let me be your lover if not your wife.

Come my love!! Be an emollient for my throbbing heart,

I wish to seek refuge within you to be your inseparable part.
