My Starfish

There’s a day when

the Starfish swims its way

But I find myself terribly frail

All day long, entangled in a messy trail

The Starfish, yet continues to make its way

…..

The food I eat, too feels stale

The things I do, go for a stake

My worth in own eyes, begins to deteriorate

The Starfish, yet swims its way

…..

All my things turn out to be a fail

The outcomes I see are too strange to say

The entire day is full of distaste

Yet, the Starfish further makes it way

…..

I retire to bed, seemingly the only way

Wrapped in my cosy blanket, I feel at bay

Probably that’s the one good thing about today

Slumber awaits to take me in its swathe

I comfortingly surrender to settle my stray

……

The sleepful night turns out as beautiful as a ray

I wake up to goodness the following day

and promise to myself a lot of Yays

I find my Starfish and start swimming my way!

…..
