A childhood brimming with happiness

Kin and clan so dear

Hustle bustle tells me

Festival of lights is near

Housekeeping at its peak

Savory and sweet aroma

Air of festivity

Joyous activity

Sunrise heralds the day of light

A scented shower to look bright

Mother lights the lamp

Vermillion adorns our temple

Hugs and laughter ring

Together family relishing

Columns and strings of light

Illuminate the home ever so bright

Festival of lights

Treasure of memories gleaming

Eyes though with pearls shimmer

A childhood brimming with happiness

Kin and clan so dear
