Butterfly Love

I often wonder how the fragile petals

easily carries the weight of the butterflies,

gaily dances to the tunes of flirty breeze,

the silent kiss of the colourful insects

sends an electric passion rushing through

the stems

giving birth to an eternal craving

spreading mirth from leaf to leaf

rendering the flower a silken blush,

a drop of love, a touch of warmth

even melts the stony heart

shedding off the thorns of loathing and hatred

let’s build a new world of love, faith and respect.

I was thinking to write something on flowers today but couldn’t complete. May be because I was due to read this beautiful piece.
