The night is dark,
It’s cold outside,
And despair fills the air,
No one around,
Or to care,
Gloom returns,
Barefeet without a sound,
Clutching the heart,
In its snare.
Remember,
Where there is darkness,
Light will always follow,
Keep calm,
Take a deep breath,
Pull yourself,
Out of the shallows,
This too shall pass,
Another day will dawn,
Happiness will visit,
Someday soon again.
