Emilin Was Her Name.

.

Emilin was her name.

.

She, of ebony hair and fair face.

Popularity polls? Oh, she’d win that race.

.

One day, she was found strangled, at the bottom of a storage bin!

‘Serves her right,’ said they, ‘She showed too much skin.’

Her name was Emilin!

.

I owe this Cherita form to Sonali Ray. Ms.Ray, you are enlightening. Thank you.

      1. Please describe a Cherita form. A very poignant poem. Beauty is all skin and no substance! Sad belief system.

        1. Hi dear Mumtaz. A Cherita comprises 6 lines.
          A one line stanza.
A two line stanza ( or couplet, which rhymes)
A three line stanza ( or tercet, which rhymes)
There is usually no restriction on the length of each line.
          Please try it out.πŸ’š
