An Ode to Sunflower

O my beautiful sunflower

The queen of all pretty flowers

You are sun kissed every hour

By the sun rays who forever shower

No other with you can compare

You shine like gold yellow everywhere

You make my life beautiful everyday

And I love you for brightening my way

Seeing you daily with my bleary eyes

Refreshes my mind and makes me high

The stem flows softly with the breeze

While the golden head bobs with ease

Around all the weeds that you have

Only you raise to the sun your bright head

The queen of the every bright morning

You wait for the first ray of sun rising

Saluting the bright orb as it travels

From dawn to dusk you truly dazzle

Dancing in the sunbeams all day long

Till the bright sunny day is dusted and  done

So my dear sunflower stand tall in the meadow

For no one can ever bring you in the shadow

Make the world beautiful with your golden mist

You elevate the sad hearts that’s the gist

I worship the sun crown for you are wearing one

May you forever blossom under the blazing sun
