Prisoner of Thoughts

Wherever i go i feel you

Whatever I look at

I see you,

Sometimes

I feel like a cauldron

steaming spirit

simmering memories

bubbling emotions

smoking heart

encircled by embers,

*

 the morning breeze–

that we once enjoyed

now feels heavy

with the warmth of your love,

the spurting brook that–

runs down the stony gradient

doesn’t taste sweet anymore,

the daisies, the lavender fields–

on which we spent cuddled nights

counting the galaxy

lacks the twinkling lustre,

*

the agony still lingers

at the core but the lips

have learnt to shine,

the pores recall

every drop of pain but

the heart hasn’t yet

forgotten to adore,

the tears don’t trickle

anymore but a salt pan

blurs the vision,

love united our souls

And love left us all alone,

*

fragments of yore

like an imperceptible twine

cramps the veins

forbids the chasm

not allowing,

the touch of your fingers

the warmth of your lips

the scent of your breath

to enter the vacuum named Heart.๐Ÿ’š
