I’m not an eroded grain
but the rugged mountain
strong and intricate
I hide the world’s echoes
within me,
you scaled me and
reached the zenith
as I lost
my fragmented rocks
grit by grit,
everyday!
****
I’m not a drop but
the swelling crystal ocean
unstoppable, indestructible
calm also stormy
concealing the
discarded wisdom
in my depth
birthing a pearl
everyday
yet
my surges fall flat
crashing at your feet
crawling like a toddler
in hope of nothingness!
****
I’m not just a breeze
soothing the soul
letting the past shed
but a summer storm
a hurricane
swallowing the slime
building my strength
only
to lash with a
greater force and undo
the miseries, sufferings!
****
I’m not just any
ordinary woman
but the glowing Sun
unconquered, unvanquished
I rise with hope
everyday,
illuminating your
dark skies
yet
you mistake me
as the silent, pearly orb
forgetting its ability
to drown the world!
