If Nature was a Lover…

If nature was a lover,

She would have seduced the humans,

With her caresses and touch,

So much so that,

A bond of love between them would have forged.

This bond would have spared her from,

Unwillingly walking the path of destruction,

Which the hands of humans have set course.

The humans, even with all their tools of cruelty,

Couldn’t have been able to bring themselves to,

Annihilate someone who resides at their heart.

They would have fought tooth and nail,

To derail any such devious plan,

Saving her from getting hurt.

And they would have taken care of her as their own,

And would have given refuge to her,

Both at their heart and at their home.
