She sees the world

through her window.

Paralyzed is she, unable to walk,

early morning, on her wheelchair

she comes to sit near the window.

As I open the window of mine

I see her sitting there

She is my front neighbour.

Nobody of her own,

on the mercy of a nurse

She goes on.

Old age is a curse upon her

noway there to escape and defer.
