Reflection

An old wrinkled man,

With his creased skin,

And numerous lines,

In his face,

Becomes a living reflection,

Of a life, almost spent.

But if,

Another reflection of his life,

Is taken into consideration,

Then it can be seen that,

A value is attached ,

To his seemingly feeble existence,

As he has seen and endured so much,

And still remained.

.

His mere presence,

Is a reflection,

Of the triumph of the human soul,

And is a teaching,

About how adversities can be harnessed.

And the posterity,

Can learn from him,

A lesson or two,

About how to stand tall in darkness.
