Hail! O’Lord of the Universe!

We know you saved us from the curse,

Normalized our lives from getting worse,

We bow down to you with respect, not fears.

.

Many mythological stories describe you

Bholenath, Nataraja are names few

Being Ardanaareeshwara, Adi-Yogi, you taught lessons new

The Churning of oceans revealed your character true

.

Every Ausra and Deva was interested in the nectar sweet

The ‘Poison’ emerged first, which was a deterrent complete

You drank and kept it in your throat, for everyone’s benefit

‘Neelkanth’ was the name conferred for this tremendous feat

.

Many poems in your honour written and told

Stories of your dancing saga, never become old

You are always adorned for being strong and bold

I bow down  to you Lord Shiva, for the respect you hold

.

Vishwanathan = Lord of the Universe = Shiva
