Painting a dream

No matter if the sky is overcast,

No matter if the sun is cloaked in black,

No matter if the earth is dry and tar,

No matter if the trees are grey and stark.

.

We can still infuse  the drained canvas,

With green kernels of flickering hope,

With red songbirds of passionate zest,

And orange butterflies humming ‘we will’.
