One chilly winter morning,
A white blanket had me calling.
A beautiful white cover,
Stretched on the lawns and over.
Excited, as a little kid,
I did want to go and skid.
My mind was skeptical though
And wasn’t ready to go.
But, the child in me came alive
And, there was I, ready to dive.
As I stepped out the door,
The cool winds welcomed in galore.
Tiny flakes planted kisses,
And Lo!! I loved those kisses.
The soft flakes started falling,
As though the heavens were blessing.
The feel of snow underneath,
Was a sense of happiness unleashed.
I did reluctantly retreat to my blanket,
With the beautiful snow on my jacket.
