Deserted Sky

Dark,lonely and devoid of heat

I walk down the deserted streets

Yesterday they were full of joy

Of happiness and human cry

All that is left are the memories

That we will remember for centuries

.

The ones holding our hands are gone

Leaving us lamenting and forlorn

Now only their scent is left

For they have forever slept

All that is left are the memories

That we will remember for centuries

.

We sometimes took them for granted

At times making them feel unwanted

Now when they are no more with us

We cry and shout and make a fuss

All that is left are the memories

That we will remember for centuries

.

This is called circle of living

Life and death both are unforgiving

Those who are with you will leave

So respect them or you’ll be aggrieved

All that is left are the memories

That we will remember for centuries

.

I wish I can bring back those days

Of joy,happiness and laughter craze

Those who have left for eternal abode

Are shinning in sky like stars glowed

All that is left are the memories

That we will remember for centuries
