Is it the devil 

Manifesting evil

Peaceful existence

 Distraught by raiders

Suffering separation death

Is it the devil 

Manifesting evil

Haughty affluent man

Silences his conscience 

Rapacious he moves on

Is it the devilManifesting evil

Alas! Devil muzzles them all

Oh the tiny famished being

Steals bread for living 

You little devil

Says the law 

Is it the devil

Manifesting evil
