Hamlet of Mine

#PoetryParlour#AZatPP#Day8#H

Hamlet of Mine.

My hamlet stands,

In the hilly slopes,

Of a magic mountain.

.

It has withstood,

The ravages of time,

To become a fountain,

Of thoughts sublime.

.

Its rustic crowd,

Dusty roads, careless beauty,

Provides food for thought,

Rekindling a fire,

To awaken the poet in me.

.

The magic mountain,

Has saved its soul,

Its essence,

In unblemished whole,

By putting it,

Beyond the watchful eyes,

Of the civilized world,

By wrapping it,

In its magical curtain.

.

Only our rustic crowd,

Who echoes its sentiments,

In their heart aloud,

Can find this hamlet,

Far from the maddening crowd.
