A Letter to Self

You are bleeding

You are broken

Oh its true that

You haven’t spoken

My dear self

I apologise

For forcing on you

An utter demise

*******

I know you are

Suffering and crying

And second by second

You are dying

I know that

I have been unfair

So I apologise for

The mistakes l swear

*********

I forced you to

Care for others

When the reality is

No one even bothers

I am sorry that

I forced you to smile

When I knew that

Tears were raining inside

*******

Your hands were cut

But I didn’t stich them

You were aching and

I didn’t let pain stem

When you were stabbed

I didn’t seal your wound

And I apologise for

Making you drowned

*********

I am sorry that

I didn’t wipe your tears

When you were shaking

Didn’t care about your fears

I am sorry for

Being so rough

Will you ever forgive me

For not loving you enough

  3. Wow ! Do we ever ever apologize to ourselves for letting ourselves down ? No I guess. Your poem is so much full of subtle anger, the layers are beautiful. You have a gift. Please keep writing ✍
