Rattling teeth and wobbling feet
Stuttering and stammering to greet
Icy winds piercing through my skin pores
Making my bones chill to the core
Ugh!! This Winter mornings are frightful
Getting out of bed is very painful
But life must flow on like a river
WITH Just coffee or tea, our best refreshers
To kick-start the sleeping bones
With a warm concoction to hone
Some mobility to be up and about
With the mundane chores to tout
No choice but to haul myself up from the bed
Teetering, I opened the frigid door, red
At last with some suppleness at best
My enthusiasm wears some zing and zest
Certainly, it’s a lovely morning out there
Waiting for nature to open up and bare
A mystical feel, that runs down
the spine
Hazy and foggy silhouettes pristine
Misty surroundings wearing a magical blanket
The flora and fauna as nature’s vignettes
In the biting cold environs, life goes on
Without a whimper or whine headlong
Time ticks away, seasons come and go
Making their presence felt in a row
Nature has no grand finale fine
The play goes on, come rain or sunshine …
