Mermaids

In the bottomless ocean of love, he dived

To acquire the pearls of her beauty

Her caring heart survived

His promises of undying duty

Their love was made of folklore

Sung through ages long

Innocent were his overtures

Siren was her song

She realised she was just an Aphrodisia

For his fickle mind

After years of serving him Ambrosia

She decide to leave her past behind

Like Amphitrite, she was a queen

With mighty powers in her womb

Like water if she could adapt

She could also take monsters to their tomb

Her femininity was labelled dangerous

But not his inciteful lust

Should all women be like mermaids?

Ponder over this question, You must!
