Durga Durgotinashini

Durga Durgotinashini

Goddess Durga is aptly called Indrani,

As she is truly ‘durgotinashini’.

She vanquish Asura,

The symbol of evil,

And makes it a point to keep strict vigil,

To restore peace, prosperity in this world.

And in the process, she becomes,

The true embodiment of ‘Shakti’,

A symbol of female empowerment,

Who facilitates human development.
