Volare

by

in

Random feathers,

Each floated in from places unknown

Or conjured themselves from thin air, i don’t know,

But together they flocked, interwoven

And assembled themselves into wings

Not so random anymore,

For they began to make sense,

Began to be sure

Of their existence.

If they were sent here, it had to be

For some purpose surely.

And wings didn’t really have to try.

They simply had to harness the wind

That brought them here,

Take a deep breath and fly.

  1. The title is so beautiful. Learnt a new word today, thank you. And, the last line sums up the poem so beautifully. <3

  2. Beautiful thought expressed through brilliant words💚💚💚
