Unity

The darkness of clouds rages into the red

In a reign of terrible terror, heart and mind are caged.

Myriads of dreams in four walls may be trampled upon

Whereas many eyes in the field will not see the dawn

*

Wrapped in uniforms, they bleed

Just because of a piece of land for some people’s greed

Drops of tears of their wives are enslaved,

On the grass blades of the graves

*

The innocence of their tiny beloveds may be snatched?

And to life’s race, unfortunately, can be dragged?

It weakens us to a peaceful sleep

Silence only haunts and creeps!

*

When feelings sealed and thoughts abandoned,

When silence screeched, rusted the heartbeat, and dreams shattered

Then, what’s the point to fight for control and land,

When everything’s mortal and blends ultimately in the land?

*

Futile, a war seems, it is said,

Let’s spread the fragrance of love and harmony instead!

Let’s replace the word WAR with UNITY

For everyone’s peace and prosperity!
