Unheard

Seeing orange in the vastness

The still is setting in

Birds, embracing the day’s end

are wrapping up to their abodes

I hear no chirping!

.

Owls setting forth for hunts

Claiming danger to the preys

I sense silence around!

.

Fireflies sounding their presence

Conveying it is time to rest

I feel the cold seeping in!

.

I also hear

Barking sounds from the vicinity

Declaring, Guards are on duty

for the Men to rest!

.

But aren’t the Guards also Men? so

Why do we need Men to guard other Men?

Weren’t nights meant to sleep? so

Why so often, do we hear the unheard weeps?
