Undelivered Letters

Treasure lies in the silken  box of heart,

Filled to  seams ,of gems and jewels,

Of my unuttered words and unsung songs,

Each precious tear I shed for you, gets

Etched in these  undelivered letters .
It will open like Pandora’s box,

The world will be strewn with petals soft,

Of colours mesmerising, hues of love

Enchanting fragrance wafting like turtle dove,

Celebrating celestial passions supreme,
Striken heart pens a letter every time ,

Waits for an answer in nightly dreams,

Alas! Dreams turn to savage nightmares,

Lonely It waits  ,noiselessly it screams.

For the balmy touch of unseen gleam .
I wait at the casement of dying day,

A sepulchral figure silhouetted in spray,

With some faith and flicker of hope,

If not in this birth,in the next or next,

Letters will reach you in floral envelope.
