Together We Stand 

Hands we held, took pheras seven,

A match, so perfect, made in heaven,

Roles we got, each for our share,

Walked societal norms, how to dare?

 Hand in hand, we walked in life

Promises we kept, together we strife.

I wonder, question and fail to comprehend,

A shoulder, support, we both lend,

Then why, only I, fast and pray?

Why I strive, to please Moon one day?

Weren’t we, two tracks, of one rail,

Of value none, if one fails.
If festival of marriage, we must celebrate,

By keeping fast for our soul mates,

Let Karwa Chauth be complete, as we join hands,

Fast and pray, together we stand.
