Do you ever feel suffocated,
Roaming in a vast ground ,
Full of fragrant flowers?
Under an open sky,
Studded with myriad stars?
I do it every night.
Get up choking as if
running a race ,
To reach up to you
While you are leaving me.
But you are formidable,
Like angels or God.
Controlling the tears,
I don’t want to shed,
Your gift, to lose I dread .
Why don’t you go for ever?
Breaking last thread of hope,
That binds me .
Hope is a killer!
Taking life bit by bit,
Don’t laugh !
I can imagine you,
Shedding a tear or two,
As I proceed to the golden gate,
For death can wipe every hate.
Lovely ma’am. 💚
Thanks Sonali

Thanks Indrani
Hope is a killer, taking life bit by bit – quite a hard hitting line…I loved the ‘death can wipe every hate’ one too..nicely written
Thanks Ramya for the appreciation.
I know hope keeps you alive…. But there’s something about this line ‘hope is a killer…’ loved this. 💚
We accept things only when hope dies. Thanks for the comment.
