The truth about love

I found solace,

In ‘therefore’ and ‘because’,

Avoiding webs of doubt and confusion.

.

Life wasn’t charming, but it was easy,

Neatly stacked in cause and effect,

An uncluttered room of sensible reason.

.

I shut the doors and windows,

To maintain the status quo,

Keeping exotic sights and sounds at bay.

.

But the glowing alien light,

Found its way to my safe house,

Capsizing my orderly, rational universe.

.

It built me a brand new world,

Of startling mercurial emotions,

Wiping and re-writing my core.

.

And I… I  feebly witnessed my rebirth.
