Day 6

English Sonnet

.

Like the horizon, serenading the sun

Like the lull of calm, before a storm

Like the smile of a loser who finally won

Like the raging fire, which casts a glow warm

.

Like the meandering stream out on its own

Like the waves, creating ripples across the sea

Like a jewel, embedded in a throne

Like a drop of tear, waiting to be set free

.

Like the tree, shedding its flowers and fruits

Like the parched sand, awaiting the rains

Like a traveller searching amongst the routes

Like an animal caged, shackled in chains

.

If nature was a lover, he’d paint the backdrop

In hues of love, he’s drape the mountain top
