The Layer

Just when I thought it was the end

Something within started to ascend

Whether it was the hope within

Or it came from a kin

That I’m still trying to gauge

For who brought me out of the cage

But also, I’m relishing this change

That happened off-stage

Which I didn’t push to occur

For I’d accepted all the flutter

Accepting my fate, I had slowed down

Most times, holding a frown

But then, things are taking shape now

Life’s getting a stream, can’t tell how

They say we’re just a Player

A part of us, organized by a Layer

That’s unseen

But felt

By few in the heart

And few in the soul!

What do you think?

I am an aspiring writer. I'm still discovering my strengths and learning the art of poetry and prose.

Professionally, I'm into Internal Communications and feel blessed to have a work life that is closely related to what I am passionate about, Writing :)
