Solitary flower

The day was a rainy gloom,

But she was set to bloom.

Petrichor mingled in her breath,

She yearned for her hiraeth.

It was a starlit night, mesmerising twilight.

She perched  at the window,

Adorning a white frilly dress,

Standing on her green stilettos.

She peeped out to see, on a romantic spree!

There came the mighty wind,

Nudged her skin,

Allured she lost to his charms,

He embraced her in his arms.

Bowing down to her,

Requested for a dance.

Swaying her torso, he made a dip,

The moment of love,

Triggered passionate kiss,

Twisting and turning,

She dunked in the ocean of eternal bliss!

Wind asked her to tag along,

Through a soothing love song.

She rose and she fell,

Trapped in her solitary abode,

As the wind left, she was dead.

That moment of eternal bliss,

No, she could not get over it!

  1. Waooooo! This is supremely beautiful, depicting the power and liberation in yielding. In surrendering to love whether it is rewarding or not. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️. Ahhh! The disillusionment of love!
