Thankyou she said –
Every time they allowed her, to step out
Every time they applauded her, in a crowd
Gratitude she expressed –
For every freedom granted
For every wish accepted
.
But all this only till, realization dawned
When she understood, she was beyond
Free to live, the way she desired
No permission, no rules, she required
That was when, she carved a new story
To every rule laid, she said a sarcastic Sorry!
