Rewind

When bright sunshine begins to mellow

Unfurling twilight glows,

Closes eyes

Depleted day surrenders

Tired of reprising

Mundane spells

Sluggishly

Stray in the mist of time

Life escapes

Through halcyon fields flows

Balmy breeze

Of reminisces warm embraces

Thaw rime of yore.

Surges craving impish

Of life to rewind

And walk again dusty alleys

Of bygones

Redolent of ebullient summers

Under a carefree sky

Listen to unending fables

Relishing raw mangoes

Piquant flavour

Aftertaste saccharine

Guffaws callow never fading

Gulmohar petals

Crimson carpet downy feel

To experience once again

Sit idle on swaying swing,

Float nostalgia paper boats

On the ripples

Of wistful desires.
