Quagmire

Strings of doubt, clusters of chaos can soar high

In an imperceptible vague-sky

Your senses can whirl and swirl

No matter who you are, boy or a girl!

*

They turn your thoughts from bad to worse, for sure!

And you sink in the quagmire of your thoughts, unsure

Brings the feeling of inertia, stagnancy, and negativity

That engulfs you in the mud of frustration, angst, and anxiety.

*

Yes, they are the hushed swords

Can slaughter your peace and strength’s chord

And you sink in the quagmire, deep

Even your reflection may seem to delete.

*

Shoo! Shoo away!
Breathe out loud! Calm down!
Beat everything!

*

And listen to your inner voice and look at the ray of light

That peeps through the tiny cracks, a bright-sight!

Your trust and hope can erase the darkness

And like a Phoenix, you can rise with brightness!
