Picture perfect

Picture perfect

A picture perfect day

A clear blue sky

Sunshine sparkling

On the dewdrops

Lining the leaves

Slowly peeping through the window

Sharing its warmth

The telephone rings

Carrying sad news

Is it a picture perfect day?

A picture perfect portrait of me

My dull unruly hair

Looks so silky

My acne ridden skin

Looks clear and glowing

Does the pulchritudinous portrait

Show the real me

The paint camouflages my flaws

My repulsive clumsy side

Is deeply hidden

I am not ethereal

I am real

Not the conventional picture perfect

But perfect is not a myth

It is real

In my smile

In my voice

I stand up

With the spirit of

Being picture perfect.

Reading and writing is passion inherited from my family who were voracious readers, lovers of art and theatre

I am fortunate to nurture my interests having a life partner with similar interests. My children too are taking forward the legacy
