.
On my daily walk,
I notice many an interesting thing.
But none so wonderfully moving,
As when I spied, seated on a sofa, a Lord, a King.
.
On the pavement,
His family built their home.
Huddled on a tattered, broken-down sofa,
T’was all that they did own.
.
All around him, squalor did abound.
Parents a-begging, flies too buzzed by.
But the little boy sat daily on the sofa,
Neither a whimper nor a cry.
.
While my own kids squabble,
For the remote on my sofa, warm.
There is none so comfy,
As this Lord On the Sofa, which is his Home!
