Let me….

Let me walk

Amidst your memories –

Let the years dissolve.

Let me feel the ache once more,

Of love that lies  crushed in a corner,

Waiting to be forgotten.

Strange that I should wish so.

Who walks back to a lost love?

I shouldn’t and yet I do,

Knowing well that those empty roads

Will still have the lingering fragrance

Of first love.

Let me love you, once again.
