Left With Nothing

The winds of change

Blew it all away

The wilted leaves turned from green to grey

The sirens I heard from by the sea shores

A silence too quiet

Shattering my heart and soul

The memories I seek, slowly slithering away like sand.

The laughter, the tears

I just can’t understand

Was it just a figment of my imagination

Or has life treated me so unfair

The sobs I cry can not be heard

The void left in my life can never be filled

The love, the smile, the hugs so pure

Will never come back, of that I am sure

A passing away of someone I adored

As he left us all for his eternal abode.
