Entry for PoAttic-7
A Super Woman ? Nay !
Just woman .
I am fractured and flawed ,
Still I am fantastic,
I fumble and tumble ,
Yet I am fabulous!
Man !
Can you resist my smile.
Can you tolerate my tears,
I am a promise of love,
Forever and ever.
A darling daughter, an adorable sister,
Mother divine, or a sweetheart!
Defying norms
I rise from the dust ,
Where you throw me and forget,
For I am the seed ,
Nurtured by vehement struggles,
Breaking out of torturous ground,
A Laxmi Bai or Hazrat Begum
A tiny voice of rebellion,
A timid Rosa refusing the seat,
A Mother Lu fighting Han Dynasty,
Sugula ,the rebel Queen fearless,
Maybe I am girl next door,
Resisting lecherous gaze of lust ,
A bride refusing demands unjust,
Marie Curie fighting all odd ,
Working for greater human cause,
Not all could make it ,
To see the light of the day,
Many did struggle ,
And were lost in the way,
Why don’t you consider common woman,
Someone asked Cartoonist Laxman ?
“I had so far never seen such woman
each woman I saw is a special one.”
