Heart and its follies

The heart refuses to listen

craves to be with you!

every night,

When the milk beams 

penetrate the membrane

and a gush of stardust

course through the veins

illuming the windows of this soul

the heart wishes to touch you,

feel the warmth of your lips

taste the tingling flavours that

bursts inside,

every night, 

When the melting breeze 

caress my messy hair

plays with the tendrils that

shadow my lamenting eyes

whispers the inaudible words

in my numb ears

the heart itches to see you

hear every silly word that you utter,

every night,

when zillions of fireflies 

lighten up the dark sky

and flickering lanterns glow

in the distant woods,

the heart desires to be your north star

guide you through every peril

brighten every darkest route

illume every dingy niche of your life,

every night,
