Fingers crossed!

Don’t cry little one, it’s alright.

I’ll never let you out of my sight.

Drink up that shake, like in ads they show.

You know how they say it helps you grow!

Don’t stay out late in the dark you see,

Wee Willy Winki’s on a hunting spree!

Thugs are wicked but the cops are good.

They’re friends with Santa, understood?

This year’s tough, work a little bit more,

Next one shall be a breeze, I’m sure!

And so that you don’t end up a dork,

Let me tell you about bees and storks!

Now I’ll tell you a secret, the world you receive,

Is one crazy mirror maze, waiting to deceive.

To make your way, you may divert,

Pretend if you must, but do not hurt.

So, don’t you go giving me those looks.

Victors write the history books!

We’re humans, and in order to cope,

It’s our privilege to lie, though we call it hope!

  1. I love the profoundness in your poems, Sai.
    //the world you receive,
Is one crazy mirror maze, waiting to deceive.//
    and
//We’re humans, and in order to cope,
It’s our privilege to lie, though we call it hope//
These two especially are evidence of your astute vision and thought process.
